Billie Jo (Penny) Anderson, 72, of Alvin passed away on July 2, 2017.

Penny was born on December 9, 1944 in Alvin to parents Bill and Bertha (Peters) Meinke.

On May 31, 1968 she married the love of her life, Ronnie Anderson. She enjoyed many things in life but some of the things that gave her great pleasure was watching the birds and squirrels in her yard and talking to everyone while she was shopping at HEB and Stantons. Her greatest treasure was her family, especially her grandchildren. She was incredibly proud of each of them and loved showing pictures of them and sharing their accomplishments. Time spent with them was priceless to her.

Penny was preceded in death by her husband Ronnie Anderson, mother Betty Peters, stepfather Henry Peters, father Bill Meinke, and her sister Barbara (Bootsie) Ross.

She is survived by her children, Bubba Anderson and wife Heather, Dede Anderson, Alan Anderson and wife Tina, Scott Anderson and girlfriend Lee Worden all of Alvin; grandchildren, Amber, William, Corey, Colby, Aubry, and Quincy; and numerous other family members and friends.
