Cherry Ann (Gandy) Martin

Cherry Ann Martin, age 79 of Fresno, Texas, passed away on December 25, 2017. She was born on April 11, 1938 in Angleton, Texas to parents, John Collins Gandy and Ann (Cherry) Gandy. Cherry was a lifetime resident of the Fresno area. Cherry married the love of her life, Paul John Martin, on November 6, 1954 in Angleton, Texas. She loved to work in her garden. Cherry’s yard was her pride and joy. She also loved all animals and taking care of them.

She is preceded in death by her husband of almost 60 years, Paul John Martin, back in 2014; children: Dale John Martin and Paula Gandy McCloskey; parents, John and Ann Gandy; brother, Maxie Gandy; and sister, Maxine Svoboda.

Left to cherish Cherry’s memory are her grandchildren: Erika Smith, James Gandy, Cherry Gandy, and Brad Hamilton; 10 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
