Freida Diane (Goedecke) Brewer

Freida Diane Brewer, age 70 of Alvin, passed away on August 9, 2017. She was born on November 18, 1946 in Alvin to parents, Fred and Edna (Meador) Goedecke. Diane remained an Alvin resident her entire life. She married the love of her life, Dorrance Allan Brewer, on August 20, 1974 in Alvin.

The other love of Diane’s life was Elvis and she enjoyed listening to his music, watching his movies and her pilgrimages to Graceland. She was a hairdresser for many years as well as a cosmetology teacher. She loved her students and had a passion for teaching. She also enjoyed shopping a decorating her home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Edna Goedecke. Diane is survived by her husband, Dorrance Allan Brewer of Alvin; her adopted daughter, Tammy Breaux and husband James of Alvin; adopted grandchild, Gilbert Tobola; as well as various cousins and nieces.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 14, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Confederate Cemetery with Pastor Jerry Stark officiating.
