Harold Macumber, Jr.

August 23, 1941 ~ July 29, 2016 (age 74) 74 Years Old

Harold was born and raised in Port Arthur, Texas, where he graduated from Bishop Byrne High School in 1959. He married the love of his life, Patricia, on July 24, 1959 in Houston. They shared 57 wonderful years together. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who found the greatest satisfaction in family time. Harold was known for his contagious smile, and heartwarming laugh. He was always ready with a joke and befriended all.  He started his career as a grocery manager at Davis Food City in Houston, and later with Kroger. Being a handy-man was his ultimate calling, though, and he moved into the appliance repair business. In the mid-1980s, he put his business skills and handyman expertise together and started Macumber Turn-Key Service.He thoroughly enjoyed making house calls and helping numerous neighbors, friends, and clients.

Harold was widely respected and admired for his generosity. He made the most out of every day.

Harold was preceded in death by his father, Harold R. Macumber Sr.; mother, Esther Macumber; and sisters: Esther Allen and Laura Austin.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Macumber; daughters: Elizabeth Frantal and husband Greg, Debora Waddell and husband Robby, Sandra Bushman and husband Gary, Patricia Bujnoch and husband Mark; grandchildren: Debora Churches and husband Matt, Danny Waddell, Michael Gross and wife Jordan, Trista Hough and husband Bobby, Chris Gross and wife Kera, Kyle Frantal and wife Rosaleigh, Robby Waddell, Travis Bushman, Brooke Bushman, Mark Thomas Bujnoch, Jr., and Matthew Harold Bujnoch; great grandchildren: James Churches, Adam Churches, Paul Churches, Chase Gross, Caden Gross, Ella Gross, Julianne Gross, Bobby Hough, Parker Hough, Blakeleigh Frantal, Charlotte Gross, Presley Hough, Hannah Churches, Hailey Churches, and Cole Gross; nephews: Mike Austin Royal Allen, Jr.; niece, Rhonda Allen; and numerous other family members and friends.
