Ida Belle (Jones) Cole

Ida Belle (Jones) Cole, 94, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2017 in Alvin.  Ida was born on December 25, 1922 in Vernon, Texas to parents James Clem and Fannie (Goodwin) Jones.  As a child, she worked on fig and cotton farms.  Later in life, she was a customer service representative in the retail industry.  Ida enjoyed being around people, as she had never met a stranger.  She will be missed by all that knew her.

Ida was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Cole; parents James and Fannie Jones; siblings:  Juanita, Annalea, Chester, Fannie Jo, Ruby Jean, Louis, Lillie, Pete and Opal.

She is survived by her children:  Leon and Ellyse Bryce, Keith and Carol Bryce, Peggy Bryce Knight, Donnie and Karen Bryce, and Arthur and Sandy Bryce; siblings:  Verdine and Shirley; grandchildren:  Lynn, Garrett, Chris, Rusty, Lori, Jason, Joey and Dwayne; great grandchildren:  Kaysey, Hunter, Jamie, Haley, Dustie, Spencer and Zander; great-great grandchildren:  Jayden and Kenzie; many other family members and friends.
