Irene Elise (Kettler) Gaddis

Irene Elise (Kettler) Gaddis, 61, of Pleasant Hill, Louisiana passed away on August 31, 2017. Irene was born on January 8, 1956, in Bay City, Texas to parents Nelson and Amanda (Hartmann) Kettler. She lived in Alvin for most of her lifetime until she moved to Louisiana in 2005. First and foremost, Irene was a caregiver. She had a beautiful heart and loved helping people and animals and giving of herself to them. She also found joy cooking and baking and sharing with others what she made. She also enjoyed shopping and going to garage sales.

Irene was preceded in death by her second husband Irvey Darnell, her parents, and her sisters: Joan Ford and Nelda Dollarhide. She is survived by her husband Darron Gaddis of Pleasant Hill, Louisiana; daughter Stephanie (Muma) Long and husband John of Alvin; brothers: Kenneth Kettler and wife Joyce of Alvin, Wilson Kettler of Alvin and Roy Kettler of Deming, New Mexico; grandson Quentin Long;  first husband Mike Muma; and numerous other family members and friends.
