Lynda Ellen (Chapman) Sokol

Lynda Ellen Sokol, 77, long time resident of Fort Bend County and beloved Nana, left our world on November 27, after a long battle of recovery from having a stroke in 2015. She will definitely be missed.

Lynda was born on June 28, 1940, in Waco, Texas. She enjoyed playing Rummikub, Gin, and pretty much any other card game with her friends at various restaurants. She also enjoyed spending any and all of her time with her loving family.  She will definitely be most remembered by her witty comebacks and her savory cooking/baking.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Debra Winterman, son, Daryl Sokol, and husband of 49 joyful years, Wilbert James Sokol. As well as her four grandchildren, Jessica and James Winterman, and Tori and Mason Sokol. She will be joining her loving parents Clarice Cisco Chapman and Mason Charles Chapman in Heaven, along with many beloved pets.

Although she wished to not have a service, her family enjoys hearing the many stories that have been shared with them on her facebook page and messages. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her name to the Houston Humane Society. Thank you.

She lived, she laughed, and she left, but she will definitely never be forgotten.
