Marjorie Mae Ransom

Marjorie Mae Ransom, 100, of Alvin went to be with her blessed Lord and Savior on November 1, 2017. Marjorie was born on May 13, 1917 in Big Heart, Oklahoma to Leonard and Mary Olive (Kephart) Terrill. She married Joe Ransom and they moved to Midland. They moved from Midland to Alvin in 1951.

Marjorie saw many changes throughout her lifetime.

She worked as a hairdresser, laundress, caretaker of Germania Hall, and was also a foster mom. Marjorie adored children and taking care of her family, as well as cats that were not hers!

Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Ransom; her parents, Leonard and Mary Terrill; infant son, John Melvin Wright; son, Lewis Wright; grandson, Michael Wright; brothers, Clifford Terrill and Leonard Terrill; and sister, Evelyn Strong.

Left to cherish many memories of her are her brother, Bill Terrill and wife Ann; daughter-in-law, Maggie Wright; grandkids: Ivan Wright, Melvin Wright and wife Lois, Pilar Roy and husband Mike, and Penny Tower and husband Mickey; as well as numerous great grandkids and great-great grandkids.
