Ollie Anne (Ross) Cater

Ollie Anne Cater, 89, of Alvin passed away on Monday, September 5, 2016.  Ollie was born on March 1, 1927 to parents Felix Cleveland Ross and Maude Clementine (Robertson) Ross in Porum, Oklahoma.  She made Alvin her home over twenty eight years ago.  Ollie enjoyed listening to Billy Graham and Charles Stanley.  Some of her favorite pastimes were painting, reading and sewing.  She was adored by her family, and they will treasure their memories of her.

Ollie was preceded in death by her parents; son, Kennith Dale Hensley; brothers and sisters:  Miles T. Ross, Jay D. Ross, Lillian Ross, Lydia Ross and Beaulah Ross; step daughters:   Betty Lewis and Norma Teague; grandchildren:  Bryan Scott Hensley, Kyle Tackett and Jim Gordon, Jr.

She is survived by her children:  Meredith Tackett and Barbara Gordon; grandchildren:  Joe Hensley and wife Lee Anne, Angel Hensley-Robb and husband Stephen, Drew Hensley, Cory Hensley, Michael Lewis, Dawn Ann O’Neal, Belinda “Toni” Fulk, Gay Lynn Pruitt, Kevin Tackett, Karla Roberts, Kris Tackett, Julie Fields, Sherry Lovely and Terry Gordon;  and many other family members and friends.
