Raymond "Allen" Allbee

Raymond “Allen” Allbee, 64, passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2016 in Kilgore, Texas.  Allen was born on December 30, 1951 to parents Raymond and Janice Allbee in Anchorage, Alaska.  He spent his younger years traveling and relocating due to his father serving his country in the service.   He settled in Alvin in 1963 and remained there until he moved to Michigan in 2001.  Allen met his life partner, Alice, in 2001 and remained happy for 12 years.  Wanting to be close to his family, he moved back to Texas in 2012. He had a passion for guitars, piano and music, his favorite band being Boston. He enjoyed computers and science fiction as well as watching Star Trek, Star Wars and The Big Bang Theory.  Allen had many different hobbies and interests but his family was the most precious to him.

Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Janice Allbee; sister, Norma Smith; brother-in-law, Robert Fleming; and niece, Julie Gilbreath.

He is survived by his life partner, Alice; daughter, Kristin Graham and husband Brian Graham; step children:  Jeff and Randi; sister, Sylvia Fleming; grandchildren:  Ashley, Amber, Ethan, Chey-anne, Caleb and Wyatt; nephews:  Jody and Tony; niece, Joy; many great nephews, nieces, family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Oak Park Chapel, with Bob Burnside officiating.  Immediately following the service, a gathering to celebrate his life will be held at the VFW Hall on Douglas St. in Alvin.
