Sam Joseph Brouillette, Jr., 85, of Alvin passed away on July 28, 2016 in Houston. Sam was born on March 8, 1931 in New Orleans, Louisiana to parents Sam and Eunice (Alleman) Brouillette. He joined the United States Air Force in 1951 and fought in the Korean War achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant, completing his tour of service in 1955. He then graduated from Louisiana State University. He married his beautiful bride, Betty, on February 20, 1988 in Las Vegas. They shared many wonderful years together. He wrote her many love notes stating how thankful “this crazy Cajun man” was to have her for his wife. He enjoyed “tinkering around” and assisted many family and church members with construction and home repairs for as long as he was able. His compassionate and caring ways will be missed.
Sam was preceded in death by his parents, Sam Brouillette, Sr. and Eunice (Alleman) Brouilette.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Jo (Fultz) Brouillette and children: Angie Abe, Teri Rollins and Randy Brouillette, and step-children: Michael and Kay Mack, Steve and Ruby Mack, Jeff and Brenda Mack, and Scott and Janet Mack, as well as grand-children, great-grandchildren and recently the first great-great grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Bill Hasse, Prentice Longest, Al Perry, David Staner, Harold Sutton, and Paul Williamson.
