Sofia "Sophie" (Saenz) Dodd

Sophie Dodd, age 67 of Arcola, passed away on July 23, 2017 in Pearland. She was born on January 22, 1950 in Victoria, Texas to parents, Eduardo Saenz and Francisca Rodriguez. Sophie married the love of her life, Andy Ronald Dodd, on August 18, 1967 in Stafford, Texas. Together, they moved to Arcola, Texas around 1975. She loved going to casinos and game rooms. She also enjoyed cooking and watching cooking shows. Sophie was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and aunt that will be greatly missed by many. She also loved her pets, Marley and Little Girl.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Andy Ronald Dodd, Sr.; parents, Eduardo Saenz and Francisca Rodriguez; and sister, Aurora Dodd.
Sophie is survived by her children: Andy Ronald Dodd, Jr. and wife Michelle, and Diane Banda; sister, Petra DeLeon; brothers, Pomposo Saenz and Rosendo Rodriguez; grandchildren: Jessica Banda, Juan Banda, Bradley Dodd; great grandchildren: Annalisa Banda, Angel Medina, Vanessa Banda, and Isabelle Banda; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Oak Park Chapel with Deacon David Bowman officiating.
