Thorton "Thor" Kelby Burfine

Thorton “Thor” Kelby Burfine,47, of Alvin fought a valiant fight to remain here with his family and friends. He slipped peacefully into the arms of his Savior on the morning of November 2, 2017. Thor was born on April 2, 1970 to Arthur and Flora (Wise) Burfine. He moved from California to Texas in 1986.

He married Brenda Peterson on March 20, 2010 in Seabrook. He had a gentle spirit and touched many lives. His care for others was shown in the ways that he reached out to others in many capacities, one being Texas EquuSearch.

Thor was preceded in death by his mother Flora “Louise” Burfine.  Those left holding on to many precious memories are his wife Brenda Burfine; father Wally Burfine of Seabrook;  children Arielle Burfine of Burleson and Hunter Tracy of Alvin; brother Trent Burfine and wife Tami of Lufkin; and many other family members and friends.
