Berneita Edith Wieder

Berneita Edith Wieder, age 89 of Alvin, Texas, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at her home in Alvin, Texas with her daughter Collette at her side. 

Berneita was born on March 16, 1930 in Nechanitz, Texas. She was the youngest daughter of Edward and Selma Weishuhn. She moved to Alvin with her husband Fred Wieder Sr., where they raised their 5 children. 

She was strong in her faith and was a loving pillar of strength for her children and grandchildren. She was a longtime member of Alvin Lutheran Church. She retired from Montgomery Wards after 25 years. 

 She is proceeded in death by her husband, Fred Wieder Sr.; parents, Edward and Selma Weishuhn; sister, Madeira; brothers: Aaron, Lawrence, Clarence, Vermont, and Victor; and her son, Glen Wieder.

Berneita is survived by daughters: Gwen Collard and husband Barry, Collette Vest and husband Wendel; sons, John Wieder and Perry Wieder; grandchildren: Joshua Palmer, Jessica Brown, Jeremy Vest, Christopher Vest, Dawn Jenkins, Brandi Leader, Regina Hartman, Freddie Wieder, Deedra Allen, Emilee Wallace, and many great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 22, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Froberg Funeral Home at Oak Park, 300 Oak Park Drive, Alvin, Texas 77511 with the Funeral Service following at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Tim Landers officiating.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM Tuesday July 23, 2019 in the Waldeck Cemetery, Nechanitz, Texas.
