Charles Emery Haynes, 75, of Alvin fought the good fight and made his way to his heavenly home on September 23, 2018 in Sweeny. Charles was born on August 24, 1943 in Harlingen to George and Elsie (Finley) Haynes. Charles served his country proudly in the United States Army. After his honorable discharge he moved to Alvin. He had a passion for training horses and it was at the barn or in the arena that he felt most at home. He also loved being on the water and fishing and would go out whenever the opportunity arose.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, George and Elsie Finley; brothers: Jerry and Arthur Haynes; and sister Analee Haley. He is survived by his children: Charlotte Adair, Christopher Adair, George Massey, Debby Johnston, Lucy Young, Charlyn Garcia, Pamela Contreras, Charles Haynes, Jr., John Haynes, Robert Haynes and Michael Haynes; grandchildren: Anabel, Samuel, Ismael, Kassidy, Brandon, Michael, Danny, Kevin, Bobby, Justin, Marissa, Jacob, Luke, Eric, Shaenelle, Aaron, Aaden, Houston, Jesslie, Ozzy, Tim, John, Michael, Enerlee, Brynlee, Garrett, Kalista, Chason, Leiah and Haley; and numerous other family members and friends.
