Dorette Jutta Angelika (Reimann) Harvey

Dorette Jutta Angelika (Reimann) Harvey, 74, of Alvin went to be with her Lord on October 9, 2018. Dorette was born on August 2, 1944 in Germany to Georg and Luise (Gauger) Reimann. She married Larry Harvey on November 19, 1965 in Berlin, Germany. After their marriage they moved to Texas, living in Palacios for a year and then moved to and made their home in Alvin.

Dorette was preceded in death by her mother, Luise Reimann; her father, Georg Reimann, whom she never got to meet as he went to war and never came home; grandson, Andrew Harvey; daughter-in-law, Kelly Harvey; and sister-in-law, Rosemary Harvey.

Left to treasure her memory are her husband, Larry Harvey; children: Stephanie Harvey deJongh and husband Michael, Toby Harvey, and Tyson Harvey and wife Ginger, all of Alvin; siblings: Brigitte Schwarz and spouse Wolfgang, Reinald Reimann and spouse Ines, and Harold Reimann, all of Germany; grandchildren: Brandi deJongh Vincent and husband Bobby, Hannah deJongh and Jonathan Stultz, Hunter deJongh and Samantha Seguin, Austin Harvey, Ashleigh Harvey, Garrett Harvey, and Allie Harvey; great grandchildren: Brayden Vincent and Riley Vincent; brothers and sisters-in-law: Leo and Nalona Neuszer, Donnie and Mary Jo Harvey, Gaylon Harvey and friend Connie Huitt, and Wanda Johnson; numerous nieces, nephews whom she loved dearly, other family members and friends; and a special thanks to niece Karen Harvey Taylor.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, October 15, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Alvin.
