Doris Pauline Lewis (Zadroga) Rogers, 72, of Alvin passed away on July 15, 2018 with her family by her side. Doris was born on February 4, 1946 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee to parents R. L. and Ruby Lee (Benson) Lewis. She moved from Fort Lauderdale, Florida to Houston in 1975 and to Alvin in 2010.
Doris was partner of Rodgers Electric Services. She enjoyed genealogy, traveling, spending time with her family and friends, horseback riding and baking with her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her generous heart and the desire to help the less fortunate.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband Thomas L. Rodgers, her parents R. L. and Ruby Lee Lewis; sisters: Ruby Joyce Lewis and sister in law and best friend Bobbie Arlene Willard.
Those left behind to treasure her memory include her daughter Christine Zadroga-Cloudt of Alvin, brothers: James Willard of Parkland, Florida, and Chuck Willard of Alvin; granddaughters: Loren Abigail Cloudt and Kathryn Ruby Cloudt; nephews: Alan Bruce Willard, Danny Lee Willard, Billy Willard; nieces: Joyce Ann Willard; dear friends: Dee Ann Vest, Alyssa Smith Brown, Diane Pavlicek, Sean Loftice, Robert Andrew Miller, Verona Payne, Susan and Ronald Diehl, Melanie Dennis, Abby O’Neal, Mike Ault Sr., Lawrence Cloudt, Jr. and family; and numerous other family members and friends.
The family would like to thank Vitas Hospice, Dr. Majd Alnas and Dr. Joshi of Houston Methodist St. John Hospital for the wonderful care given to Doris.
