Floyd Eugene Bean

Floyd Eugene Bean, age 66 of Alvin, passed away on December 13, 2017. He was born on May 18, 1951 in Jeffersonville, Indiana to parents, Glendale and Carrie (Parker) Bean. Floyd served our country as a United States Marine and was discharged in 1970. He married the love of his life, Shirley Ann Lewis, on September 17, 1982 in Longview, Texas. They resided in Longview and attended Longview Baptist Church before moving back to Alvin in 1984. He retired from Carpenters and Millwrights Local 2232 in 2016. Floyd loved fishing, hunting, and spending time with family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Glendale Bean and Carrie Parker; stepmother, Margie Bean; and his sister, Doris Miller.

Floyd is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Ann Bean of Alvin; children: Janna Barnwell of Crosby, and George Kirl, Jr. of Alvin; sisters: Debra Sepolio of Alvin, Cathy Guice of Alvin, Connie Scarpelli of Webster; and brothers, Corkey Bean of Alvin, and Ralph Arnett of Webster.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 18, 2017 at Oak Park Chapel. The Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Brad Gardner officiating. Interment will follow in procession to Confederate Cemetery.
