Harold Edward Gaddy, Jr. of Alvin, Texas was called to be with The Lord on Thursday, October 3, 2019, in Pearland, Texas. He was 84 years old.
Harold is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Barbara Gaddy of Alvin, Texas; his daughter, Elisa Faith Gaddy-Later (husband Loren) of Springfield, Oregon; his son, James “Randy” Gaddy (wife Theresa) of Alvin, Texas; his brother, William Gaddy, Angleton, Texas; his grandchildren, Jason Miglicco (wife Cheryl) Alvin, Texas; Stacey Miglicco-Sullivan (husband Matthew) The Woodlands, Texas; Asa Gaddy (wife Sharon) Marion, Texas; Cade Gaddy (wife Kyleigh) Dallas, Texas; Natalie Foster (fiancé Alex Brown), Layton, Utah; Alex Gaddy, Alvin, Texas; Haley Gaddy, Alvin, Texas; Christopher Brown, Grand Valley, Missouri; Ryan Later (wife Kali) Meridian, Idaho; Deven Later (wife Candis) Tomball, Texas; Jared Later (wife Sabrina), Elk Grove, California and Amanda Later (deceased). He is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Harold was born on September 13, 1935. He worked in construction as a welder & pipefitter and was a member of the Local Pipefitter Union 211. Harold was a devoted Christian and member of Alvin Missionary Baptist Church, where he and Barbara established many wonderful friendships.
Harold was a great family man and a loving husband and father. He was a social and active man who was deeply involved in football and track during his high school years. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family & friends and loved attending his children and grandchildren’s sporting events. His family and friends will always remember him as a happy, loving and caring person who loved The Lord.
Funeral services will be held at Oak Park Funeral Home, 300 Oak Park Drive, Alvin, Texas on Tuesday, October 08, 2019. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. and a funeral service will follow thereafter at 1:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Harold’s life.
