Josephine Williams, age 81 of Alvin, Texas, passed away on November 8, 2019, at Clear Lake Regional Hospital with her family at her bed side.
A baby girl was born to Sylkert and Alonia Roberson Williams on December 15, 1937 in Matagorda County, Texas which they name Josephine Williams. She was a faithful member under the leadership of Reverend Carlyle Roberson until his death. Sister Williams continued to be a faithful member of Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church for many years under the leadership of Pastor Anthony Bonner.
Josephine was the firstborn grandchild of the Roberson family. She attended school in Angleton, Texas.
Josephine was a home body, but she enjoyed going out to eat and socializing with family and friends. She always made sure she looked pretty every day. Most important she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Josephine was preceded in death by her parents, Sylkert and Alonia Williams; sisters, Margaret Stewart and Eva Diane Fluellen; niece, Jacqueline Allen; nephew, Larry Williams; and great-great nephew, Theseieus Taylor.
Those who left to cherish her memories are her brother, Earl Williams, Sr.; godsons: Roy Lester Barnes, Sr., Jermaine Alexander Williams and Luther Daniels; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services for Josephine will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2019. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the Funeral Service following at 11:00 a.m. at Evergreen Church in Clute, Texas. Interment will follow at Shiloh Cemetery in Cedar Lane, Texas.
