Rogelio “Roy” De Leon, Sr., age 86 of Alvin passed away on September 5, 2019. He was born to parents Serapio De Leon and Elisa Trevino in Bremond, Texas on October 13, 1932. He married the love of his life, Andrea (Macias) De Leon in Harlingen on December 27, 1953.
Roy was a member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic church. He enjoyed watching baseball, especially the Astros. He was very competitive and loved beating everyone at washers and horseshoes. Most of all he loved his family and enjoyed every moment spent with them.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Elisa Vega and stepfather Juan Vega; father, Serapio De Leon and stepmother Jesusa De Leon; sisters, Celia Hernandez and Feliz Almendarez; and stepbrother, David Vega.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 65 years, Andrea De Leon of Alvin; his children: Beatriz De Leon Lara of Alvin, Rogelio De Leon, Jr. and Cecilia of Alvin, Clarita De Leon Costanzo and David of Alvin; siblings: Dominga Yanes and Vicente, Chavello De Leon and Mary, Gilbert De Leon and Sophie, Paula De Leon and Mary; Grandchildren: Raul Lara Jr., Sandra Lara Neace, Luis Lara, Krystal Garza, Amy De Leon, Ashley De Leon, David Costanzo Jr.; Great Grandchildren: Christion Lara, Jesse Neace, Lucas Neace, Ben Neace, Sammy Lara, Karina Rodriguez, Adam Martinez III, Jalissa Martinez, Abel Martinez, Jacob Martinez, Ava Escobar, Alexa Escobar, Aria Rios, Andrea Rios, Jonathon Costanzo, Jacob Costanzo; Great Great Grandchildren: Abrianna Lara, Brielle Lara, as well as many other family members and friends.
