Roger Grubbs Obituary
Roger Dale Grubbs, age 64, of Alvin passed away on January 13, 2020. He was born on May 26, 1955 in San Antonio to parents, Roy and Geraldine (Mudd) Grubbs. Roger was an army brat, so he grew up in many places. In the 80’s, he decided to make Alvin his home.
Roger loved the times he could hop on his bike and get some wind therapy. His time spent with friends and family was important to him and many memories have been made. Being outdoors working in the yard was another one of his favorite pastimes.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Roy K. Grubbs and Geraldine See; stepfather, James See; and his brothers: Kenneth A. Grubbs, Roy W. “Scooter” Grubbs and Dennis Dooley.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Brandy Grubbs of Alvin; stepmother, Velda M. (Cradduck) Grubbs of DeKalb, Illinois; children: Amanda Grubbs, Clayton O’Leary and girlfriend Katie Kintz, Dylan Carlson, and Sadie Carlson all of the Alvin area; brother, Brain G. Grubbs and wife Margaret “Meg” (Drummer) of Cummins, Georgia; sisters: Cheryl Glantz and husband Barry of Manalapan, New Jersey, Barbara E. (Grubbs) Tatham and husband Michael of Snohomish, Washington, Tammy L. (Grubbs) Tadd and husband Gary of DeKalb, Illinois, and Melanie M. Grubbs of DeKalb, Illinois; sisters-in-law, Vicki (Stover) Grubbs of St. Beloit, Wisconsin and Marla Dooley of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren: Jordan O’Leary and Trystan Howard; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; as well as other family members and friends.
