Ronald Fayette Meade, 77, of Alvin passed away with his family by his side on May 25, 2018. Ronald was born on March 31, 1941 in Russellville, Arkansas to Fayette and Alma Meade. Arkansas was his home growing up and he graduated from the University of Arkansas with a BS in Marketing.  After graduation he joined the United States Army.  He was stationed in Augsburg, Germany as a Second Lieutenant where he married his wife Karen.  He left the Army as a Captain.  They moved to Houston, Texas in 1976 and eventually settled in Alvin in 1984.

Ron was an international trainer in the oil and gas industry and was very well respected in his field. His knowledge and wisdom will live on in his many published articles.

He was the sole member of Razorback’s Revenge Chili Team and a member of the Cold River Cattle Company Barbecue Team.  His chili won him many 1st place trophies of which he was very proud.  He was a member of the American Legion, Veteran of Foreign Wars, and Mensa but was not currently active. One of Ronald’s favorite things to do was to read a good book especially Louis L’Amour.  He also loved to spend time at the beach and any day spent there was a good day. His family was of upmost importance to him and his grandson, Sabastian was his treasure. He never missed an opportunity to take him places or buy him something special and creating memories.
