Walter Terry White, age 85, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2019. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky to parents Frank White and Marian (Katterhenry) White on October 28, 1933. Terry married Joyce Diana (Smith) White on October 18, 1952 in North Augusta, South Carolina. They moved to Alvin, Texas in 1964 where he retired from Monsanto after 32 years.
Terry lived a full life enjoying his most favorite sport, saltwater fishing. Even to retire to the redfish capital, Port Mansfield. He was a big part of the community as president of Chamber of Commerce, served on the Navigation District for many years, and enjoyed being Captain of his guide fishing boat “Joyce’s Tug.”
He is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Diana (Smith) White.
Those left to cherish his memory are his brother, Frank White and wife Joan; sister, Peggy Frazel and son Jim Sims; children: Daniel Walter White and wife Linda Doty White of Liverpool, Texas, Vicki Jerine Clark of Liverpool, Texas, Lauri Ann Phillips of Liverpool, Texas, Christy Diana White of Santa Fe, Texas; grandchildren: Timmy White, Bradley Daniel White, John White, Debra Ann Stidham, Angelika Phillips, Aaron Randall White, Terry Lynn White; great grandchildren: Timothy James White, Nathan Adam White, Jacob Bradley White, Annabelle Lee White, Alexia Lynn Brown, Grace Nicole White, John Thomas White, Ryker Mathew White and Cohen Aaron White; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
