Waymon Udon ‘Don’ Williams, age 82, was reunited with his wife in Heaven on September 30, 2019. He was born in Morton, Texas to parents, George ‘Wes’ and Viola Williams, on September 12, 1937. He married Sandra ‘Sandy’ Wofford on October 11, 1957. He is remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father, uncle and friend. He had multiple business experiences, including automotive repair, real estate sales, teaching automotive mechanics and business management. He and Sandy were proprietors of “Sandy’s Furniture and Décor” in Alvin, Texas prior to their retirement. Aside from work, he was a talented musician, playing guitar for family and community gatherings. He loved to travel to Colorado to drive through the mountains, visit family, and go hunting and fishing.
He is preceded in death by his wife Sandy Williams, parents Wes and Viola Williams, brothers Elijah Williams, Paul ‘Pete’ Williams, Walter Williams, Wayne Williams, Elbert ‘Bert’ Williams, sister, Wanda Key and great-grandson Logan Sanders.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Udonna Williams of New Braunfels, Texas; Suzanne and husband, Douglas Lumpkins of Delta, Colorado; Brad Williams, of Alvin, Texas; and Denna and husband, Gary Dixon of Alvin, Texas; 18 grandchildren, Dusty, Landon, Ashley, Tyler, Adam, Twyla, Justin ‘Red’, Kris, Austin, Sara, Taylor, Tara, Garren, Wesdon, Nathan, Julia, Colin and Laura; 24 great-grandchildren; brother, George and wife, Charlotte Williams of Lubbock, Texas; brother-in-law, Ed Wofford and wife, Dorothy of Montrose, Colorado; and numerous nieces and nephews.
