William Lee Padgett, 54, of Alvin passed away on July 2, 2018. William was born on October 23, 1963, in Houston to William Lee Padgett, Sr. and Wanda (Roberts) Padgett. He married Shelia Varnell on October 19, 1997. They made Alvin their home in 2011 when they moved here from Pearland. William was a hard worker and loved his job working in asphalt and as a heavy equipment operator. When not working, he enjoyed time spent with his family and friends and listening to his music.

William was preceded in death by his parents. Left to treasure his memory are his wife, Sheila; son Kory; sisters: Brenda Moon and Billie Sue “Sissy” Finley; brother: Randy Padgett; and numerous other family members and friends.
