William Douglas "Doug" Satterfield

William Douglas Satterfield, 62, of Alvin passed away on December 22, 2017. Doug was born on November 24, 1955 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to William and Glenda (Busby) Satterfield.

He married Betty Jones on October 10, 1987 in Oktaha, Oklahoma and had thirty wonderful years together. They made Texas their home in 1992.

He had a passion for motorcycles and would rarely be found without a Harley Davison t-shirt on. His favorite pastimes were old cars and working on small engines. He worked abroad for a part of his life and truly liked the traveling.  He also enjoyed scuba diving. He was a man with a great sense of humor and had a heart for helping others.  He loved his friends, but his greater love was his family and spending time with them.

Doug was preceded in death by his father William Satterfield, stepfather Delbert Smoot and his grandparents.Those left to treasure his memory are his wife Betty Satterfield; mother Glenda Smoot;   children: Brandon Satterfield and wife Lauren, Kendra Nolen and husband Chad, and Jason Martin; sister Laura Satterfield; brother David Satterfield;   grandchildren: Ashton Satterfield, Deklan Satterfield, Sydney Nolen, Maggie Nolen, and Riley Martin; Uncle and Aunt: Charlie and Debbie Yandell; and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
