Alma Joe (Tomlin) Pyle, 93, went to be with our Lord on October 6, 2018 in Manvel. Alma was born in Dallas, Texas on June 30, 1925 to Joe and Alma (Holloway) Tomlin. She was a resident of Alvin for over 45 years and traveled all over the world with her husband Hubert Pyle. She enjoyed raising dogs, gardening, flowers, reading recipes, especially old ones, and telling stories of her many travels. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church (Friendship Class) for many years and enjoyed many years of going to the Alvin Senior Center.
Alma was preceded in death by her first husband, J. C. Moldin in 1969 and her second husband, Hubert Pyle, in 2005. Also preceding her were her parents and brother.
Left to treasure her memory is her daughter Cynthia Olson of Manvel; grandchildren: Shelley Renee Welch and Christi Lynn Keesee; and four great grandchildren: Army Specialist Zachary Ryan Jong, , Seth Brennon Kennemer, Sean Patrick Keesee, and Madison Renee Welch.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Oak Park Funeral Home with Chaplain David Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Park Cemetery.
