Alyne Pitchford Wallin, age 92, beloved and nurturing mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and dear friend, went home to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 20, 2022.

Glen E. Pitchford, Luther H. Pitchford and Herbert L. Pitchford; and sisters Earline Pitchford and Venita Wendel.
Alyne is survived by her loving children Jimmie Ray Wallin, Jr. and his wife, Christina, Sandra Kay Welsh and her husband, Alex, and Donald Bruce Wallin and his wife, Kim. Alyne is cherished by her six grandchildren, four great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
Alyne’s pillar of strength was her unshakeable faith in God. She reflected the love of Christ in everything she did, and she will be remembered for her selflessness, perseverance, kindness and excellence in all that she accomplished. She was a member of the Alvin Church of Christ, where she was secretary for ten years. Alyne had a servant’s heart and volunteered her services to the church in their many community outreaches and beyond, she ran errands for neighbors and never tired of nurturing and caring for God’s creatures in need.
Alyne was a loving mother and impeccable homemaker. She cherished every moment spent with her family and her loyal beloved cat, Mosie. She enjoyed attending church and bible study, visiting with friends, reading and playing bunco and dominoes. She was a people person and made friends wherever she went. She loved Christmas and embodied the Christmas spirit. Alyne was a native Houstonian and one of the proudest Texans you would ever meet.
Alyne’s positive attitude, uplifting deeds and words touched many lives. She never cared to sit idly, but instead preferred being productive and was always one to jump in and help out in any way she could.
Alyne passed on her love and compassion for people and animals, extraordinary work ethic, attention to detail, financial wisdom, gift of gab and sweet tooth to her family. Alyne will continue to be an inspiration to all of us.
