Avelina Guajardo
1928-2021
Avelina Guajardo, age 92, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 in Sugar Land. She was born on November 22, 1928 to parents Ruben and Guadalupe (Rodriguez) Zambrano in El Porvenir Guerrero Los Ramones, N.L., Mexico. Avelina married the love of her life, Lael Guajardo Sr, in Monterrey on December 1, 1963 and was happily married for over 52 years. She was a resident of Iowa Colony for more than 50 years. Avelina was a wonderful, kind and loving person. She was a talented seamstress and she made beautiful clothing for her ten brothers and sisters as well as many others. On July 10, 1991 Avelina was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She appreciated the Bible based hope of one day living without pain, suffering and death. “With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:3, 4
Avelina was preceded in death by her husband; Lael Guajardo Sr.
She is survived by her children: Lael Guajardo, Jr. and wife Maribel, Abby Chavez and husband Benjamin, and Alfredo Guajardo; her grandchildren: Christian Guajardo and Emily Guajardo; sisters: Amanda Olivares, Araceli Jimenez, and Angelica Tamez; as well as many other family members and friends.
