Balentine Juarez Obituary

Balentine G. “B.G.” Juarez, age 88, of Alvin passed away peacefully and went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 22, 2020 at the Margaret Cullen Marshall Hospice Care Center in Houston. He was born on May 21, 1931 in Gonzales, Texas to parents, Antonio and Maria Gonzales Juarez. B.G. moved from Gonzales to Alvin over 75 years ago and had been a resident ever since. B.G. married his beloved wife, Margaret Martinez, on June 10, 1951 in Alvin and together they started a life together that would last almost 70 years. He became an active member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and served over 40 years.  B.G. was self-employed and worked up to age 80.  He delivered earth materials in the Alvin, Manvel, Pearland and Friendswood areas and was thankful for his many lifelong customers.

Some of B.G.’s favorite pastimes included….. most importantly being a Sacristan for Saturday/Sunday Mass services, going out to dinner on Saturday nights with his family, late afternoon beer on his breezeway, Astros baseball games, family & friend gatherings. He loved spending time with his granddaughters from preparing their breakfast to dropping them off at school and attending their school functions.

B.G. was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Maria Juarez; and his siblings: Jesse Juarez, Christina Garcia, Janie Castillo, Lupe Hill, Sirilio Juarez, Susie Diaz, Dora Nicar, and Tony Juarez.

Left to cherish the many wonderful memories is his wife, Margaret M. Juarez; his daughters: Lois Juarez, Esther Juarez, and Betty Jo Wuenschel and husband Thomas; grandchildren: Julia Wuenschel and Joan Wuenschel, as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
