Billie Nell (Rogers) Norman

Billie Nell Rogers Norman, 80, passed away on January 10th, 2022. She was born on May 21, 1941, in Paris, Texas, to Cleo Rogers and Frances Peterson Rogers. She met the love of her life, James Norman, in the fall of 1953, when she was 12 years old and he was 16. They married on June 1, 1958, in West Columbia, TX, at the home of her parents.

Billie and James settled in Sugarland, Texas, and had four children: Jimmie, Johnnie, Jerrie, and Jamie. They later moved to Alief, Texas. They were married for 62 years until James’s death on April 14, 2020.

Billie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister Betty Brewer, and her son, Jimmie. She is survived by her sister, Jean Lemm of Alvin, TX; Sons, Johnnie and wife Kathy, Jerrie and wife Susan, Jamie Sr. and wife Cheryl, and daughter-in-law Mitzie Norman; grandchildren Daniel Norman and wife Hillary; Dallas Norman, John Cory Norman and wife Genevieve, Gradie Norman and wife Ashleigh, Jamie Jr. and wife Shellsea, Danielle Bohannon and husband David, and Jude Norman; great grandchildren Dylan, Charlotte, Cynthia, Joey, Remington, Rowan, Rory, Lily, Jett, and Vance; her sister-in-law Peggy Croft Norman; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

We would like to thank the staff at Clarewood for all the love and care they gave Billie in her last days. We will never forget their kindness.
