Bob and Brenda Spaw Obituary

Robert Lynn (Bob) Spaw, 87, of Alvin, Texas went home to be with the Lord on December 20, 2020 after several years of declining health. He was born on June 30, 1933 in Houston, Texas. He earned a Bachelor's degree at the University of Oregon. He had many accomplishments in the field of electronics and was the President of Automatic Terminal Information Systems, Inc. for about 30 years. Bob died peacefully with his beloved wife, Brenda by his side.

Bob was survived by his wife of 39 years, Brenda Spaw; children: Robert Jr. and Marina Spaw, Margaret and Mitch Namendorf, Catherine and John Trankovich, Steven and Jackie Spaw and Cynthia and Mickey Colomb.

Bob was a wonderful Christian, father, stepfather and grandfather.

Brenda Jeanne Spaw, 79, joined her husband, Bob on March 2, 2021. She passed quite suddenly from an unknown cause. Brenda was born to Jesse Eddie Hayden and Loretta Lewis Hayden on December 4, 1941. She is survived by 3 siblings: William Edward Hayden, Linda and Richey Goodridge, and Dale and Patricia Hayden. Her brother, Thomas Albert Hayden preceded her in death. She is also survived by 3 children: Jimmy and Jamie Allen, Charles Ray Allen and Sherri Marie Allen.

Brenda spent many years driving a school bus for Cy-Fair ISD. She worked as a bookkeeper at Automatic Terminal Information Systems, Inc. for about 20 years. Brenda was an awesome Christian, wife, sister, mother and grandmother.

Robert and Brenda were married on December 26, 1981. Together Bob and Brenda have 20 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. They both have been members of several churches throughout their marriage. Most recently, they attended First United Methodist Church of Alvin until Bob's health declined. They especially enjoyed their Sunday school class and singing in the choir. They were known for hosting parties for friends and family. They also developed quite a reputation for spoiling their pets.
