Charles Hale Johnson age 83 of Alvin, passed away on July 5, 2021. He was born or October 20, 1937 in Kenefick, TX to parents James Howard and Ella Mae Julian Johnson.
Charles retired from Monsanto where he worked as an Operator / Maintenance Technician.
Charles was a wonderful provider, husband, father, and grandfather. He especially loved being with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He could often be found at one of their various sporting events cheering them on loudly from the bleachers. He loved the Houston Astros and rarely missed a game.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Ila Cole Johnson, his father James Howard Johnson, mother Ella Mae Johnson Smith, siblings Barbara Sue Anglin, Ray Johnson, Billy Johnson, Carolyn Johnson Britton, and JoBeth Johnson Land.
Left to cherish his memory is his son Lloyd Johnson and wife Gina; his daughters Shay Johnson and Sherry Culbertson, Karen Underwood and husband Scott, Stacy Flowers and husband Clif, Tracy Davis and husband Steve. Grandchildren, Nikki, Emily, Maddie, Adrian, Colton, Amanda, Kasey, Jake, Hannah, Kolbie and 15 great-grandchildren.
A private graveside service was held Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Oak Park Cemetery in Alvin.
