Claude Cleveland Duncan Jr. of Alvin, Texas born June 04, 1933
entered the arms of the Lord on July 31, 2020 while surrounded by loved
ones. The oldest of five children born to Claude and Ida Duncan, he was
preceded in death by both parents, brother Knox Duncan, sister Alice
Sonnen, and son Claude Cleveland “Skip” Duncan III.
Cleveland married the love of his life on Christmas Eve- December
24, 1950. Together, they raised five children and provided a beautiful
example of commitment and companionship. He was a funny, caring,
affectionate man who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gambling.
A hard worker who truly loved his job, Cleveland spent 25 years as a
line crewman at Houston Executive Airport before retirement. Most
importantly of all, Cleveland made spending time with his family a priority,
creating a lifetime of precious memories.
Cleveland is survived by his wife of 69 years, Joyce Duncan,
daughter Gale Boren, daughter and son-in-law Claudia and Nathan Walker,
son Michael Duncan, daughter Darlene Allison, daughter-in-law Diane
Smith, 30 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-
grandchildren.
