Delores Agnes (Schilhab) Peters

Delores Agnes Peters, age 86, of Liverpool, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, in Galveston, Texas.

Delores was born on January 18, 1935, in Ammannsville, Texas, to Wilhemina (Mican) and Albert Schilhab. She went to school in Ammannsville and graduated from Schulenberg High School in 1953. Soon after graduation, she met Henry, the love of her life and they married in 1954. They moved to Liverpool in 1967 where they owned and operated The Liverpool Grocery Store until 1987. Delores served on the VFW Ladies Auxiliary many years. She became involved in the community and served on the City Council of Liverpool for nearly 50 years.  She took pride in her community and always offered a helping hand with anything.  Delores was beyond caring when it came to family, friends, and even strangers. Always giving and never expecting anything in return.  Creativity was her specialty. Arts and crafts were such a passion that she participated in craft shows for many years. She also loved gardening.  Most importantly, she loved spending time with her loved ones, and the time she spent with them had no boundaries.

Delores is survived by her children, Mark Peters and his wife, Patty; Chris Peters and Cheryl Peters Vickers, all of Liverpool, and Ginger Little and her husband Darrell of League City; sisters, Lillian York, of Pflugerville, Texas, Violet Hempel and her husband August and a brother Albert Schilhab, Jr. and his wife Julie, of Victoria; nine grandchildren; Jason Peters, Charles Peters, Keith Peters, Jeff Peters, Kyle Little, Stephanie Little, Levi Peters, Alayna Peters and Cody Wynne; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Henry Peters, sons Roger Peters and Michael Peters; parents Wilhemina and Albert Schilhab; brothers Alvin Schilhab and Leonard Schilhab and a sister Vivian Schilhab; and a grandson Tony Peters.
