Donald Harold Collins, 74 of Alvin, Texas passed away on Saturday June 12, 2021.
He was born on December 12, 1946 in Crowley, Louisiana to parents Harold and Leola (Killmer) Collins.
He served in United States Navy from 1967 until 1969. He went to work for Southwestern Bell, now AT&T in 1969 and retired in 2000 as a lineman.
Donald was a great family man and a good Papaw. He loved to have crawfish boils and go fishing. He loved to cook and watch his favorite show Street Outlaws. For Don and Ronnie, those that knew him raced their hemi’s with him in their younger years.
Donald is survived by his wife, Frances Collins; two daughters, Sandra Collins and Kiffany Collins, all of Alvin; eight grandchildren, Caleb, Brenden, Carly, Kara, Gemma, Maleah, Maribell and Korbin; two sisters, Diana Merrillat and her husband David and Pam Vykakaul and her husband Paul.
He was preceded in death by his son, Cody Collins, of Alvin; and his parents, Harold and Leola Collins, of Spring, Texas; his twin brother and sister in-law, Ronald and Linda Collins, of League City, Texas.
He was loved by all.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 18, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Froberg at Oak Park Funeral Home, with Pastor Zachary Coffman.
