Elliott Warren Sturman III

Warren was born on May 3, 1943 in Augusta, Ga to Alice Johnston Sturman & Elliott Warren Sturman II.  After graduating from high school, Warren met and married Brenda.  They have celebrated 58 years of marriage.  As life would have it, work and opportunity led Warren across several States and he finally settled on the Gulf Coast of Texas, where he and Brenda made their home.

Warren was a man of strong ethics with a hardworking nature.  He believed everyone should take care of their necessities first and wants later. When he retired, he found many ways to occupy his time.  Whether it was renovating houses or tinkering in the garage he was sure to be giving the task 100%. His love of cars was a lifelong passion and he was often found working on them with a wrench in his hand and grease under his nails.

To those that knew Warren, knew him to be a kindhearted man that would bend over backwards to help when he was needed.  He never met a stranger and loved talking to everyone he met. He especially enjoyed being a mentor to those that worked for him over the years. He took great care to teach and guide the younger generations, teaching them about cars and home improvement, even helping with homework. He loved his family and always enjoyed the times when they were gathered. He took particular delight in the holidays.  Fireworks on the 4th and Christmas times were his favorite times to spoil his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Warren is survived by his wife, Brenda Lanier Sturman, his son Elliott Warren Sturman IV (Chip) and wife Stephanie Howell Sturman, daughter Dawn Sturman Gemmill and husband Peter T. Gemmill, daughter Stephanie Sturman Medrano and husband Ernesto Medrano. Grandchildren, William Travis Gemmill, Elizabeth Gemmill Albrecht, Hannah Gemmill, Sophia Medrano and Naomi Medrano. Great Grandchildren, Reagan Samaroo, Leia Gemmill and William L. Gemmill.
