Ernest Montemayor

Ernest Montemayor, age 83, of Alvin, Texas, passed away on February 28, 2021. He was born on March 17, 1937 in Alvin, Texas to parents Pedro Montemayor and Matilde Reyes Montemayor. He has been a lifetime resident of Alvin. He has been married to the love of his life Dolia Ramos for 63 years. His passions were gardening, reading, traveling, and remodeling. He enjoyed all sports and he was a big fan of The Dallas Cowboys.  

Ernest is preceded in death by his parents: Matilde and Pedro Montemayor; sisters: Patsy Juarez, Cleo Guerrero and Ophelia Navarro; brothers: Pete Montemayor Jr. and Larry Montemayor.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters: Karen Hernandez Garcia and husband Leo Garcia, Rhonda Arvizu and husband Frank; grandchildren: Stacy Arvizu, Jennifer Chavez, Isaac Hernandez and Jason Hernandez; great grandchildren: Jake Hernandez, Dylan Hernandez, Eliana Hernandez, Brandon Arvizu, Brianna Arvizu, Mia Arvizu, Landon Chavez and Landry Chavez; as well as numerous family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 8, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Oak Park Chapel and the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Oak Park Chapel.
