Georgia Parks Obituary

Georgia Helen Parks, age 87, passed away Monday, July 26th. At Winchester Lodge in Alvin, Texas.

Georgia was born in Childress, Texas and was a longtime resident of Alvin. She was a devoted wife and wonderful mother. Georgia was a charter member of South Park Baptist Church and married 61 years to Do Parks, former proprietor of Parks Restaurant.

Georgia is preceded in death by her husband Don Parks, daughter Angela Tatum, parents George Sears and Jackie Fae McManus, and sister Joan Hoover.

Georgia is survived by her daughters Cindi Parks and husband Phillip Foster, Melody Duncan and husband Mike and son Donnie Parks; Grandchildren Hart Jackson and wife Kristi, Douglas Duncan and Health Duncan, great grandchildren Makenna Jackson; brother Billy Hawkins, sister in law Judy Scott, Ginger Forbis, Joan Roach and numerous other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
