Guillermo “Willie” Martinez, age 84, of Alvin passed away on January 21, 2021 in Pearland. He was born on December 26, 1936 in Alvin to parents, Nieves Martinez and Maria De La Cruz. Willie was a lifetime resident of Alvin.
Willie worked as a welder and pipe fitter for most of his life. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching baseball.
Willie was preceded in death by his parents, Nieves Martinez and Maria De La Cruz; brothers: Calistro Martinez, David Martinez, Herman Martinez, Nieves Martinez, Jr., Phillip Perez, Juan Perez, Dure Martinez, Ramon Martinez; and sisters: Amelia Garza, Rafaela Jimenez, and Margaret Juarez.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Esperanza Martinez; children: Vivian Salinas and Fernando Martinez; brother, Raymond Martinez; sister, Lutricia Garza; 4 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
