Jackie Dann Knippel went to be with the Lord on November 27, 2020 in Webster, Texas with her family by her side. She was born September 7, 1944 and was the daughter of Ross “Johnny” Dann and Edith Hillhouse Dann and was a lifetime resident of Alvin, Texas.
Jackie was an active member and elder of the First Christian Church of Alvin. She was also the director of the Alvin Food Pantry where she was continuing the legacy started by her mother, nearly 40 years ago. Jackie was a true blessing and lived her life to serve others. There are numerous individuals who have been touched by her kindness and generosity. Even in her most difficult moments, she was only thinking of others and wanted to make sure they were taken care of, even after her life on this Earth had ended. Her smile was as contagious as her attitude and her love for Christ was apparent. She will be missed but we should rejoice that she is now home with God, and we know her reward is great and her crown is full of jewels.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Edith Dann; her brother, Jay Dann; and her sister, Joy Dann.
She is survived by her husband, Ted Knippel; her children: Kevin Stinson and wife Susan, Daniel Stinson and wife Stephanie; grandchildren: Ashley Burns and husband Michael, Chris Stinson and wife Cassie, Jonathon Stinson and wife Julie, Tyler Stinson, Thomas Stinson, Jacob Stinson and Jason Jones and wife Camber; and great grandchildren: Blake Burns, Annly Burns, Elijah Brown, Liam Stinson, Colton Jones and Kimberlyn Jones.
Services for Jackie will be held on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at Oak Park Chapel. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life to follow at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alvin/Manvel Community Food Pantry.
