James Rhue Edwards

James Rhue Edwards, age 85 passed away on August 18, 2020. He was born on October 29, 1934 in Wood County, Texas to parents Grady James Edwards and Mona Rhue (Bell) Edwards.

He served in the Army for 3 years, he was ranked a Sgt. when he left the military. James always had a garden full of vegetables and he loved flowers and plants. He enjoyed traveling all over the United States with his second wife Sherry. James lived life to the fullest. Even though he was retired, he never truly stopped working.

He was preceded in death by his parents Grady and Mona Edwards; wife Fay Edwards; son Stanley Edwards and wife Vickie Edwards; and grandson Paul Martin.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Sherry Edwards; children Estie Brodie and husband Charles, Jimmy Martin and wife Julie; BettyAnn Foster and husband Clifton; grandchildren: David Reed, Jr. and wife Tailar, Tonya Gernand and husband Walter, Christina Brodie, Stanley R.E. Brodie, Katlyn R. Davis and husband Tanith, James (Jimbo) Martin, Jr., Lance Martin, Beth Lammons, Jenny Sherwood and husband Shawn, Ann Marlowe and husband Joe, James (Gator) Edwards and wife Lisa, Jacob Edwards and wife Jasmine, Whitney Lee and husband David, Talbert McCroskey, Thomas McCroskey; neice Renetta R. Militello and husband Jami; nephew Darell Moorefield; 34 great grandchildren; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
