James Reyna, age 71 of Alvin, TX, passed away suddenly and inexplicably, on January 11, 2024, in his home. Our family is at a loss for words.
James was born September 24, 1952, to the late Armando Reyna Sr. and Evangelina B. Munoz. He was one of Ms Munoz 11 children; five siblings have preceded him in death.
James moved from Alvin in his early 20’s to work construction in Houston for many years. James always had an upbeat and positive outlook on life. He was also a born rebel who charmed his way through life. However, in our family, he will always be remembered for donating a kidney to his sister Soila in 2005 and also, for being the primary caregiver for the last 10 years of our dear Mother’s life; she died last May (age 100 years & 8 months.)
James is survived by his daughter, Sandra Montoya, maternal siblings (from Evangeline B. Munoz), Johnny Sanchez, Josephine Sanchez Faires, JoAnne Oskerson Solis, Joyce Oskerson Gonzales & Florence Oskerson Chapa, and paternal siblings (from Armando Reyna Sr.) Irene Conde, Irma Reina, Armando Reyna Jr. & John Daniel Reyna along with numerous nieces and nephews.
