John David Carlisle (“David”) passed away December 18, 2017 of a heart attack. He died peacefully, in his sleep, at his sister’s house in Omaha, Ne. David was helping care for his mother, Katherine Hawman, who was in hospice care at the time. He was a loving son to his mother in her final days, and his death preceding hers was a heartbreaking experience for his family.
David was born August 22, 1958 and grew up in the Alvin/Houston area. He spent four years in the US Air Force, and returned to Houston where he was a carpenter for most of his life, transitioning to EnergyStar inspections in the later years of his career. David also enjoyed sports, working on computers and playing video games. He was an avid reader, and enjoyed a wide variety of authors. He was a good son and brother and will be sorely missed.
David is survived by his father, James B. Carlisle of Magnolia, TX, mother Katherine Hawman (died 6 days after David), sister Carol Graham of Omaha Ne, brother Dan Carlisle of Spring, TX, and sister Nancy Carlisle of Magnolia, Tx as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother James Andrew Carlisle and sister Judith Louise Carlisle.
