Joseph Putch, Jr. Obituary

It is with deep heart break and much love we mourn the passing of Joseph David Putch Jr. “Joey” at the age of 57.  He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after a long battle with organ failure on January 23, 2022.  Joey was born in Houston, Texas.  He spent 30+ years working in the chemical plant industry starting at the age of 15 mowing grass and promoting himself with hard work and dedication to a career as a chemical plant operator.  He was part of the EMS team and trained firefighter for over five years.  Joey loved to play his electric guitar and riding dirt bikes.  He loved hunting in the Texas hill country more than anything next to the love for his family.  He was loved by everyone with his silly sense of humor.  He was an amazing, loving husband to his wife of 21 years.  Joey was a caring father to four children.  He always made sure his family was safe and provided for with the best.  His smile and laughter were contagious.  He always cooked and hosted for the annual Mother’s Day crawfish boil for the mothers.  He played little league baseball in his youth and was picked and played for the All Star Team several times.  Throughout his fight with organ failure, he maintained a positive attitude.  He is finally at peace and now in the kingdom of heaven.  As tragic as his death is his courage and strength in facing this battle is incredibly special to the family.  Joey lived an amazing and eventful life filled with travel, adventure, and most of all love.

Joey was greeted in heaven by his father Joseph David Putch Sr, sister Julianne Putch Gilbert, and his grandparents Charles and Myrtie Putch, and William and Erma Sorensen Knight, Aunt Mary Sorsby, Uncle Thomas Putch.

Left to cherish the many memories is wife of 21 years Christina Dubroc Putch, children Abby Putch, Rebeca Putch, Ashley Bell, and Joseph T. Putch.  Mother Mary Knight Putch, his sister Deborah Kendrick, and brothers John Putch, and Charles W. Putch “Billy”.  His beloved grandchildren Brayden Bell “little buddy”, Hallie Shelby, Karter Shelby, Tripp Shelby, Dakota Short, Aleister Goodwin, Shiloh Goodwin, and Robert Putch.   His niece Shara Kendrick and son Christian Rivas, and nephews Benjamin Putch, Grant Putch, Hunter Putch, and Hayden Putch.  His Aunt Carmel Waters (Harry), Uncle Sam Putch (Jane), and Uncle Bill Knight (Kristine), and many cousins and friends.
