It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of John, a beloved son, brother, and friend, who departed this world on January 11, 2024, at the unfathomably young age of 32. Born on a warm summer day on July 30, 1991, John brought joy and laughter to those around him with his infectious smile and playful personality.
John was a man of simple pleasures, finding immense joy in the outdoors, video games, and playing football. Fishing in particular, held a special place in John's heart and he found solace by the water's edge. He had a love for the simple pleasures of life; this included indulging in his favorite meals. John was a true connoisseur of good food, and his appreciation for a hearty meal was a reflection of his zeal for life.
He loved being the center of attention and was often loud and boisterous. With a mischievous smirk, he was always up to something. He had a fondness for jokes and was rather witty, taking delight in entertaining others. John was well loved; often making friends wherever he went, his carefree personality drawing people in. John worked as a longshoreman and was a member of ILA Local 24 in Houston, Texas.
John leaves behind a tapestry of memories and a legacy of love. He is survived by his father, Alonzo Rene Longoria, mother, Sharron R. Prescott, step-father, Craig A. Prescott and sister, Victoria Longoria, who will forever cherish the time they shared with him. In addition to his immediate family, John is mourned by his paternal grandmother, maternal grandmother, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
We acknowledge the recent passing of John's grandfather, who shared both a special bond and the same namesake. Their connection was profound, and the void left by his grandfather's departure is deeply felt by everyone.
In this time of sorrow, let us remember John for the smiles he brought to our faces, the laughter he shared, and the love that will endure beyond his physical presence. May his soul find eternal peace, and may the memories of his vibrant spirit bring comfort to those who mourn his loss. Juan Rene Longoria, you will be dearly missed, but your light will continue to shine in the hearts of those who knew and
