Kenneth (Kenny) Wayne Hockin of Houston went to be with His Lord the morning of his 66th birthday, September 7, 2020. Kenny was born in Coronado, CA to Kenneth and Jean Hockin. He grew up in Alvin then moved to Houston/Clear Lake.
His life was dedicated to loving his children, Madison and Kendal; and his ‘Starbaby’ granddaughter, Blayklee.
Golf was Kenny’s passion. He joined the Richard Kensel Golf Team for over 30 years. He loved all eight players like brothers. A member at the Bay Oaks Golf Club, he won numerous Golf Club Championship Awards. He also loved singing at the UBC church.
Kenny’s senior high school year, he won the highest opera scholarship in the state of Texas. Lead singer in his famous Houston Rock band for ten years. He got his electrical degree and became the top electrical salesman for Wesco, earning his the President’s Club Award. Kenny joined KenMor Electric/Tegg Sales and received yearly achievement awards. Before retiring he received six consecutive Tegg Diamond Awards.
Kenny was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Hockin. He is survived by his father, Kenneth Hockin; son, Kendal; daughter, Madison; brother, Mike; sister, Patty Bradley; granddaughter, Blayklee Shae Hockin; nieces, Allison and Kathryn Hockin; and nephews, Austin Bradley and Chris Edwards.
