Lum Alsup Furnace, age 81 of San Leon passed away on July 24, 2020. He was born in Houston, Texas to parents Robert Lee Furnace and Marjorie Oleta (Stewart) Furnace on January 15, 1939.
Lum had many career choices throughout his life. He started out in the Air Force where he served 4 years as a police officer. For 10 years he worked for Monsano Chemical Plant. Lum was very proud to be one of few men that had security clearance for the National Treasury. He then worked in Real Estate for 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Marjorie Furnace; and brother, Robert McKinnly.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Jana Porterfield and husband Robert Collins, Danna Furnace-Grimes; brothers, John Furnace and wife Helen, Brian Furnace and wife Marjorie; grandchildren: Branden Jezek and wife Angie, Kaytlynn Santillian and husband Robert, Jacob Furnace and wife Samantha, Ryan Grimes, Katie Morton and husband Alex; great grandchildren: Tanzalie Jezek, Zeppelin Jezek, Brayden Morton, Caleb Morton; his dearest friend, Gayle Mordente; and many many people that loved and cherished him.
