Maria Angela Baker

On August 31, 2021, Maria Angela Baker (Jenkins) joined many of our loved ones in Heaven in the presence of Jesus. She was diagnosed with COVID and developed complications that led to a stroke at Clearlake Regional Medical Center.

Mary was born on November 1, 1955 in El Salvador during a time where her country was unstable. She later moved to United States in order to provide a better life for her daughters. Although she succeeded, she never forgot about her family in El Salvador and always found a way to bring back clothes and many other items to provide for them. She was the daughter of Jose Tomas Aparicio and Maria Del Pilar Espinoza-Aparicio. She was the exceptional mother of Zenaida (Jamie), Yansi (married to Walter), and Rocio. She was married to her very own “Hill Billy”, Sylla Jenkins, father of Tyler Jenkins. Mary had six grandchildren, Jordan Cruz, Thomas Aparicio, Matthew Bailey, Joshua Bailey, Preston Bailey, and Serenity Bailey.

Mary was a talented hair stylist in Alvin, TX who absolutely loved her job and having the ability to serve others. She had a knack for always placing others ahead of herself, especially when it came to her family. She was a follower of Jesus, and loved being part of the choir at Heights Baptist Church. Even in times of turmoil, such as Hurricane Harvey, Mary always found a way to give back to others. She will be severely missed but undoubtedly NEVER forgotten.

A service will be held at Heights Baptist Church on Saturday, September 11, 2021 to celebrate the life of Mary. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am with the service beginning at 11:00 am.
